PMQ Magazine & PizzaTV

A leading magazine for the pizza industry, PMQ’s 20 year run is impressive, but their look needed an update. Hired to help revamp the magazine, I also worked with the publisher to brand and launch PizzaTV and provided design, illustration, photography and creative support for the business’s marketing efforts and media kits.

PMQ Pizza Magazine

A small company with a big punch in the pizza industry, the magazine design had been through many iterations and was looking for a refresh. Part of the goal was to include more short content, infographics, and special art and photography elements on the cover and in layout. I also provided ad design for advertisers.

From creating designs for PMQ’s social network to launching and running PizzaTV (@pizzatvdotcom) on all platforms — creating contests, event Snapchat filters and a Roku channel.

PMQ Sales & Trade Shows

After extensive research on the best of the publishing industry, I helped the publisher organize the message for their media kits. We developed small handouts , shaped like a pizza slice, as well as a booklet that was mailed in a cellophane sleeve to prospective advertisers.

PizzaTV Branding

Launching PizzaTV was a dream of the PMQ publisher and I was tasked to help him with the effort. It started with rev’ing up video shoots and editing, and coverage of many pizza events including the World Pizza Championship in Parma, Italy. Our videos got new views on social, and when I led the way to launch a PizzaTV Roku channel.

Extra Toppings

Let’s face it, as far as design subject matter, pizza is kind of fun. And so in many cases, I was able to have some fun with design. The team attended up to 10 trade shows or festivals a year where we met pizza industry folks as well as pizza lovers, who just all wanted their pizza SWAG.
